We decided to celebrate Christmas early this year. We woke up and while breakfast was simmering on the stove, we exchanged gifts.
Miles received some much needed onesies and other clothes (he’s growing out of clothes as fast as we can put him into them) along with a cool musical cube that allows you to add or take away musical instruments from different classical compositions, encouraging Miles to hone his skills as a budding arranger.
I had fun shopping for Rene. Santa had dropped off a Richard Thompson box set that Rene had talked about some months back along with a cool P-Coat and DVD of the Mighty Wurlitzer from Organ Stop Pizza.
I nearly lost my breath when Rene surprised me with a new laptop!
It was great seeing Miles among the ripped wrapping paper and us all talking with good cheer and relaxing together.
We were blessed with a new boy this Christmas, and to share in our appreciation for each other, for the spirit of the season, and for Miles’ arrival made it a special day indeed.
