Today, Rene’s friend Margaret called to find out how my first of many days of my new, pristine life was going.

Mostly, I cleaned up and made to-do lists, as well as compiled a list of bullet points of Monday morning quarterbacking to prep for an upcoming blog post about a goal that, until recently, was all-consuming.

So, it was kind of quiet, and perfectly relaxing, really. Sleeping in and resting at mid-day with Rene.

In the afternoon mail, we received a cool invite to Rene’s baby shower. When I called my aunt to thank her, she said that one cousin suggested people send in advice for Miles, another cousin suggested people contribute kid-friendly recipes and that Rene and I would leave the party with two keepsake books. It is all very sweet and we’re looking forward to the party.
