We had an excellent time taking in the city as a family: going to the Brooklyn Flea for handmade crafts and a kimchi hot dog, taking the metro to Chelsea Market to meet Alieda (and meandering along the High Line Park), kicking back on the grass with Miles in Central Park (and watching one real unusual jogger), going to the Guggenheim, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the International Photography Museum, and walking by the United Nations. Finally catching the movie “It’s Complicated” (cute!) and watching cake competitions on the Food Network (what a way to relax!). Eating hot pretzels and watermelon juice from street vendors, having crepes at Cafe Un Deux Trois (one of three times we had crepes, all of which were very good). Bringing home a cup of hot chocolate and a box of macaroons from this chocolate cafe by Bryant Park, lingering at the breakfast counter where I was served by this Greek and his assistant, and biting into a slice of pizza just the way I remember it. All this with my boy and my beautiful bride is more than I can ask for on a weekend in New York.
